I have been hearing super things about Burro Cheese Kitchen, which is a food trailer, currently parked in off South Congress. Now is the time to frequent this particular food trailer park, because in a few weeks, they will all be gone, to make room for a boutique hotel development. It’s a bummer that they will be going away to make room for ‘progress’ but, I do hope they find homes somewhere close by. Bitterness aside
the staff was lovely and had lots of suggestions from their menu, but I ended up going rogue and off the menu and I built my own. They had a lavender cheddar, which grabbed my attention and after I had a sample and could smell and taste the lavender, I was in. I built it with a light aioli and arugula on sourdough and washed it down with a Jarritos, mandarin flavor. It was a quick and easy lunch stop all for under $10. Thanks Burro Cheese Kitchen!!

Let’s be honest, we all love a deal. I also love to be out and about in this wonderful city of mine and I am always on the hunt for a good Happy hour deal. I live in South Austin, or at least, it used to be called that, these days it just might be central. But, for clarity, it is also lovingly referred to as the 04′. As in 78704.
Boticelli’s on South Congress has a great Happy Hour.
Typically it runs from 5-7pm daily, AND all night on Sundays and Mondays.
They feature about 5 dishes all $5 dollars each and also have drink specials for $5.

Yesterday I made the yearly birthday pilgrimage to collect my 15% off at Anthropologie for my birthday month discount. Basically, I want to move into the store, but I can’t. So, I brought a piece of it home with me to remind me of the pretty. Birthday candle. Smells like springtime in my bedroom now. Love.

Just enjoyed a wonderful breakfast brunch at one of, actually my favorite place to eat breakfast in Austin. It a must if you haven’t tried it. Be sure to get the breakfast bahn mi (my latest obsession) that is delectable with egg whites, Fresno chilis, mushrooms and some dreamy orange sauce. I have no idea what it is, nor do I care. It’s just the bomb!
